The only tooth replacement that works like a natural tooth

Permanent and low maintenance
Implants are designed to last. The post fuses permanently with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. With regular brushing, flossing, and checkups, a well-placed implant can last decades. No special cleaning routines, no removal at night, no periodic replacements.
Preserves your jawbone
When a tooth is lost, the jawbone beneath it shrinks over time from lack of stimulation. Implants are the only replacement option that prevents this by mimicking the function of a natural root. Preserving bone keeps your facial structure intact and makes future dental work simpler.

No impact on neighboring teeth
A traditional bridge requires grinding down the teeth on either side of the gap to anchor the restoration. Implants stand independently, leaving healthy surrounding teeth untouched.

Why patients put it off, and why it's worth doing sooner
The most common reasons patients delay implants are cost, treatment length, and fear of surgery. Here's the honest answer to each:
Cost
Implants cost more upfront than other options, but they're designed to last decades. Bridges and dentures require replacement and maintenance over time, which adds up. We offer financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, and MACU to make the cost manageable.
Treatment length
The process takes time because your body needs to heal properly between steps. Rushing it produces worse outcomes. We'll give you a realistic timeline at your consultation so you can plan accordingly.
Fear of the procedure
The placement appointment is done under local anesthesia, and sedation options are available. Most patients are surprised by how straightforward it is.
Implants vs. other options
If you're missing a tooth, you have choices. Here's how implants compare:
Implants vs. bridges
A bridge relies on the teeth on either side for support, which means filing down healthy tooth structure. Implants stand on their own and leave neighboring teeth untouched.
Implants vs. dentures
Dentures sit on top of the gums and can shift or require adhesive. Implants are fixed in place and function like natural teeth.
Implants vs. doing nothing
Leaving a gap allows the jawbone to deteriorate and neighboring teeth to shift over time. Implants are the only option that stops bone loss.
Are you a candidate?
Most healthy adults with sufficient bone density qualify for implants. Key factors include:
- One or more missing teeth
- Adequate bone volume, or willingness to consider a bone graft
- No uncontrolled systemic conditions that affect healing
- Non-smoker, or commitment to quitting during the healing period
A CBCT 3D scan at your consultation will give us a precise picture of your bone structure so we can give you a straight answer.

Bone graft, if needed
If there isn't enough bone to support an implant, a graft builds the area back up first. The site heals over several months before placement can proceed.
Implant placement
The titanium post is placed under local anesthesia. Sedation is available. Most patients find the procedure far more manageable than they expected.
Healing and osseointegration
The implant fuses with the surrounding bone over three to six months. A temporary restoration keeps things functional and presentable during this period.
Abutment placement
Once fully integrated, a small connector is attached to the post. This is what the final crown sits on.
Final crown
Your custom crown is color-matched and shaped to blend with your surrounding teeth. Once placed, your implant is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for my implant?
Brush and floss around it as you would a natural tooth and keep up with regular checkups. No special care routine is required.
What is the success rate?
Over 95% in healthy patients. Bone density, overall health, and following post-op instructions are the biggest factors in long-term success.
Does insurance cover implants?
Coverage varies by plan. We'll verify your benefits before your consultation and go over financing options for any remaining balance.
Is sedation available?
Yes. Laughing gas, oral sedation, and IV sedation are all available. Let us know at your consultation and we'll have the right option ready.
How is an implant different from a bridge?
A bridge anchors to adjacent teeth, which must be filed down to support it. An implant stands independently, preserves jawbone, and doesn't affect neighboring teeth.
What if I've had a missing tooth for years?
Bone loss over time may mean a graft is needed first, but many patients in this situation are still good candidates. A scan will tell us exactly what we're working with.
How long do implants last?
The post can last a lifetime with proper care. The crown typically lasts 15 to 25 years before normal wear may require replacement.
Does implant surgery hurt?
The area is fully numbed before we begin. Some soreness and swelling in the days after is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers.
How long does the full process take?
Three to nine months from placement to final crown, depending on whether bone grafting is needed and how quickly you heal.
Can smokers get implants?
Smoking significantly increases the risk of failure by interfering with healing. We strongly recommend stopping before and during the healing process.
