What veneers can do

Custom to your face, not just your teeth
Every set of veneers we place is designed around your specific facial structure, skin tone, and smile. We don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is a result that looks like it belongs there, not like an obvious cosmetic procedure.
Porcelain that lasts
We offer veneers in porcelain and high-strength lithium disilicate ceramic. Both materials are selected for their durability and ability to mimic the natural translucency of tooth enamel. With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 20 years.

Minimal tooth removal, significant results
Placing veneers requires removing a small amount of enamel from the front surface of the tooth to make room for the shell. It's a conservative amount, but it does mean the process is permanent. We take time at your consultation to make sure you understand what's involved and feel confident before moving forward.

How veneers improve your smile
Staining and discoloration
Some stains don't respond to whitening, including those caused by certain medications, fluorosis, or trauma. Veneers cover discoloration completely and maintain their color over time.
Chips and cracks
Minor chips and surface cracks affect how your smile looks even when the tooth itself is healthy. Veneers restore the appearance of the tooth without requiring a crown.
Gaps between teeth
Small gaps between teeth can be closed with veneers without orthodontic treatment, depending on their size and placement.
Uneven size or shape
Teeth that are shorter, longer, or shaped differently from neighboring teeth can be evened out with veneers for a more balanced, uniform look.
When veneers make sense
Veneers are worth considering when:
- You have cosmetic concerns that affect your confidence when you smile or speak
- Whitening hasn't produced the results you were hoping for
- You want to address multiple issues, such as shape, color, and size, at the same time
- Your teeth are healthy enough to support them and you're committed to maintaining them
Veneers are a cosmetic solution. They work best when the underlying teeth and gums are in good health. If there are restorative issues that need to be addressed first, we'll tell you at your consultation.

How the process works
Smile design
Your first appointment is a consultation where we examine your teeth, take X-rays, and talk through your goals. We'll discuss material options, review what the final result can realistically look like, and go over cost and timeline before any commitment is made.
Temporary veneers
Once you've decided to move forward, we prepare your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel and taking impressions. Temporary veneers are placed while your permanent ones are being fabricated. This gives you a preview of the final result and protects your prepared teeth in the meantime.
Permanent veneers
When your custom veneers are ready, we remove the temporaries, check the fit and color, make any final adjustments, and bond the permanent veneers in place. We'll check your bite and give you care instructions before you leave.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the veneer materials you offer?
We offer traditional feldspathic porcelain and high-strength lithium disilicate ceramic. Both are natural-looking and durable. Lithium disilicate is stronger and better suited for patients who grind their teeth or need added durability. Traditional porcelain offers exceptional aesthetics for patients whose primary goal is appearance. We'll recommend the right material based on your teeth and goals at your consultation.
Are veneers covered by insurance?
Veneers are a cosmetic procedure and are generally not covered by dental insurance. Financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, and MACU is available to help manage the cost.
How do I care for my veneers?
Brush and floss as normal. Use a non-abrasive toothpaste and avoid biting down on hard objects. A night guard is recommended if you grind your teeth, as grinding can chip or crack porcelain over time.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
Veneers can improve the appearance of mildly uneven teeth, but they're not a substitute for orthodontic treatment. If the misalignment is significant, we may recommend clear aligners first.
How many veneers do I need?
That depends on your goals. Some patients veneer a single tooth to match a chipped one. Others veneer six to ten teeth for a full smile makeover. We'll make a recommendation at your consultation based on what you're hoping to achieve.
Can I whiten my veneers?
Porcelain veneers do not respond to whitening treatments. If you're considering whitening, it's best to do so before your veneers are placed so we can match the porcelain to your desired shade.
Does getting veneers hurt?
The preparation appointment involves removing a small layer of enamel, which is done under local anesthesia. Some sensitivity in the days following is normal and temporary.
Are veneers permanent?
The process is permanent because a small amount of enamel is removed to place them. Once that enamel is removed, the tooth will always need to be covered. This is something we discuss thoroughly at your consultation before moving forward.
Do veneers look natural?
Yes. Porcelain closely mimics the translucency of natural enamel and is color-matched to complement your surrounding teeth. Most people cannot tell the difference between veneers and natural teeth.
How long do veneers last?
With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 20 years. Avoiding habits like nail biting, chewing ice, and using your teeth as tools will help extend their lifespan.
